Whether it’s a long, relaxing and well deserved soak in the bath after a strenuous day at the office or a luxurious spritz in the shower, we all love a bit of pampering. A lot of luxury or boutique hotels around the globe have got the experience down to a ‘T’. This being said, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to enjoy the same 5 star luxury bathroom experience in our own homes. Here’s a few ways that you can create your own five star spa in your own home:
Waterfall taps are a fantastically cheap and easy way to make your bathroom feel that little bit more premium. Each tap uses a fully exposed or semi-open spout to imitate the flowing effect of a natural waterfall, allowing the water to pass through seamlessly. It might not be the same as taking a trip to the Niagara Falls, but it’s sure as anything going to be cheaper!
If you have enough space in your bathroom, you can always install a freestanding bath. Freestanding baths not only allow you a large, luxurious space in which to take a long soak but have the added benefit of looking absolutely stunning and look perfect as the centrepiece of a room or contemporary design. If you have a large window in your room with a perfect view, place a freestanding bath in the direct line of site of the window for a more pleasurable experience each time you use it.
Body jets and whirlpool jets
If you have a shower that needs a little jazzing up, body jets are a perfect addition. The jets are installed in the shower walls and controlled by a central multi way valve unit. This allows for multiple jets of water to spray at you during your morning shower – the perfect way to wake up. For your luxurious hotel style soak, try adding a whirlpool system to your bath, or better yet purchase a built in whirl pool bath. Massaging water jets bubble away under you to provide the pampering you always wanted.
